Patriots Embarrassed Again, Time For Change

After being blown out 40-7 to the LA Chargers and having a half empty stadium chant, “Fire Mayo” will this be enough for Robert Kraft to make some changes this off season?

The days of going to a Patriots game and having a party like atmosphere from the tailgating to the end of the game walk back to the car, yesterday felt like a funeral. From the weather being gloomy, cloudy, and wet. It was the perfect weather for the product we saw on the field. When fans look in to the future all they talk about is, “if we get offensive line help and Travis Hunter, then we are back.”

WRONG!

The Krafts need to take a mental picture of what they saw yesterday. A stadium that was half empty, a defense that led up 40 points (the highest said points the Chargers have scored all season and largest marginal loss this season for Patriots), and an offense that only had 7 points and had Drake Maye get checked out for a concussion after the first possession.

The Patriots need a rebuild from the rebuild. Starts in the front office and Eliot Wolf, he isn’t his hall of fame GM father. He resigned everyone from last years roster. KJ Osborn and Antonio Gibson were the two “big” signings. Kraft should already be planing to meet with potential GMs, that should be step 1.

The next, get rid of the boob that is Jerod Mayo. “Fire Mayo” chants were heard at the end of the game. Fans don’t want him, Jonathan Kraft doesn’t want him. Start the coaching search immediately following the Bills game week 18. Kraft this time should be doing his due diligence and have an actual interview with potential candidates. Have them lay out a plan with how to fix this team that is categorically the worst in the NFL. What kind of schemes can you bring in to help Maye succeed in year 2.

Finally, spend money. The only way you’ll get top talent is to pay top dollar. Is Bobby Kraft willing to do that? A franchise that had its 20 year run of dominance is looking to just be competitive again. 3 easy ways to get back on track. Not saying it’s a Super Bowl plan but it’s a plan to get the fans invested again.
